Wood Chop Squat

Targets: shoulders, abs, obliques, butt, and legs

  • Fix the end of the resistance band securely to the leg of a sofa or a sturdy post. Hold another end of the band in both hands with your right elbow facing the sofa, fists on the hips (choke up on the band to take up the slack). Stand with your feet hip-width apart, with your left side facing the sofa.
  • Standing up while pulling the band diagonally upward toward the right, rotate your torso to the right as you do so. Come back to your squat position.

Make sure to complete 10 repetitions on each side.

Targets abs and chest

  • Place palms on the floor in front of your feet while standing with feet hip-width apart. If you are not comfortable doing that, sit on the floor.
