Josephine Marie Canseco was born in Florida. She is the single child of MLB assigned hitter Jose Canseco and onetime famous Playboy model, Jessica Sekely Canseco. Canseco was discovered in a very unusual way. It was during the biggest music festival, Coachella when some pictures of her and her friends went viral on the internet.

When she was a teen, she also appeared on the VH1’s Tv show Hollywood Exes and made an appearance in the show, The Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition, and she also made a part in Summer Break which is a popular internet web series.

“I love cycling, I do it all the time,” Canseco told in an interview at the Victoria’s Secret Angel Cycle to End Cancer at Flywheel Sports in NYC in September 2019. She is a huge cardio fan mixed with some of her high paced music which gives her the extra boost. In her words, “It’s a good cardio mix. I’m all about cardio and high-intensity music.”

But cycling her way through isn’t the only thing that Josie Canseco is into. She is highly addicted to working out and sweating her way through all the situations she finds herself in. For her, sweating it out is the best way to keep it out of your system. She explains, “Rumble classes, boxing, running, cycling, I love personally,” she noted. “When we prepped for the [Victoria’s Secret Fashion] Show last year, I was doing cycling maybe like two or three times a week. Boxing training one-on-one, like really focused and in my zone.”

But she always makes sure she is surrounded by great music while working out. She says, “Anything with music really,” she added. “Music is really like my therapy. So anything that’s pretty much music-involved gets your head in the game.”

And she has a might good collection of songs. She says,  “OMG, I listen to literally everything. So if I’m working out it’s a mix of, like, Eminem is definitely my pump-up song,” said the swimsuit model. “He’s the best, he’s one of my favorite rappers ever. And 50 Cent — like, definitely more hardcore things that get me into that kind of, like, ego-driven mind space, you know what I mean? Like, ‘Go hard, I can do this, I’m the best, I can do this,’ blah blah blah.”

The offspring of model Jessica Canseco and retired MLB professional, Jose Canseco says that she is tough when it comes to fitness mentality. And all that comes from her childhood experience when she played a lot of sports during her school time. She recalls, “I grew up playing sports and being very active,” she told in an interview. “So for me, it’s kind of a routine thing that just helps me feel better about myself, about my life and my confidence. And I feel like that shines through when you feel good about what you’ve done.”

She definitely posts a lot of her workouts on Instagram for her fans to see and get inspired by. There are a variety of things that she loves to do and does not stick to a single workout routine. As for her diet, she likes to eat clean but she is not too strict. A great body is a balance of both exercise routine and diet. She says, ”

“I have always been very high energy. I have played sports my whole life and I was a dancer. I love boxing and take classes at Rumble Boxing weekly. I also go to SoulCycle at least two to three times per week and I train with a personal trainer at Dogpound.

I am not too strict with my diet unless I have a huge job or casting coming up. In that case, I make sure I am focused on my diet and my workout. Other than that, I am not afraid to have some pizza or pasta!”

She has a super tight schedule but she still manages time to workout and be with her family and friends. When asked about what she does on her weekends, she replied, “I feel like my schedule as a model is so different from the norm that sometimes weekends are my weekdays! I am an only child, so whenever I have downtime between work and travel, I just like to relax and spend time with family and friends.”

Besides working out and modeling, she also likes to dance which for her is a great way to stay in shape. She does not get much time, but whenever she can, she does love a great dance session. In fact, a dance studio is on her “to-do” list. She reveals in an interview, “I love to dance! I was a dancer for twelve years and still try to keep up with classes whenever I can. I also really love animals. I grew up volunteering on farms and at various shelters. I would go straight from school to a farm in the valley and spend the rest of my day there.”

She further continues saying, “Two goals of mine – I hope one day to open up my own family dance studio and also create a non-profit for neglected and abused animals.”

One of the recent trends that she has been doing is to follow a pescatarian diet which means that ahs is eating vegetarian foods mostly along with a bit of seafood.  She has completely cut out red meat and poultry. She usually eats clean all the time because it makes her feel good about herself. She focuses on eating a lot of fruit and salads too. She has switched to an almost vegan diet too because she is allergic to nuts. She avoids them completely.

With her diet, she eats clean because it is the best way for her to feel great and confident. The Florida based model reveals, “when I’ve really been on a good routine of eating right and eating a lot of vegetables and good proteins and balancing my diet — and it’s not all about going full-in and being, like, cold-turkey, cutting things out and being like a health freak. It’s all about balance for me.”

She is pretty mindful of what goes into her plate and does not eat anything and everything. “I’ve been slowly transitioning to be pescatarian,” Canseco noted. “I just kind of have a soft spot for animals and down the line, I’d like to work with them and have my own nonprofit one day. So not eating red meats and chicken obviously, and slowly transitioning into [not eating fish].”

However, she is not too hard on herself and does not shy from all her favorite foods either.“It’s just about balance,” she added. “It’s OK to have pizza and stuff like that, but [weight loss] should be hard work, it shouldn’t be easy.”

And that is all balanced by her extremely awesome wellness routine. It is worth it for sure because she revealed in a recent interview, that, “I can feel myself glowing, even in sweats or whatever,” shared Canseco. “It kind of comes from the inside, being healthy.”

However, she does not like to go cold turkey on things and always tries to strive for balance in every aspect of her life. She reveals, ‘It’s not all about going full-in and being, like, cold turkey, cutting things out and being, like, a health freak.’

The only thing she has tried to restrict herself from is animal products because of her immense love for animals. She says, ‘I just kind of have a soft spot for animals.’ She says that there are a lot of health benefits in general of having a good diet, and especially for her, she says, ‘I can feel myself glowing, even in sweats, or whatever. It kind of comes from the inside, being healthy.’

Although she likes to indulge in her favorite foods at least once a week, in her opinion, maintaining your body and health isn’t that easy. She reveals, ‘It’s ok to have pizza and stuff like that but [weight loss] should be hard work. It shouldn’t be easy.’

However, she still has a favorite place where she goes to get her cravings satiated. She talks of her favorite food place, her allergies, and her process of learning by saying, “By Chloe! I am not fully vegan, but I definitely make it a priority to stay away from animal and animal by-products whenever possible. My only worry is that I am allergic to nuts and many vegan meals contain walnuts, cashews, etc. I am interested in learning more about it and hopefully learning my own recipes to use when I travel.”
