Nochtli Peralta Alvarez Workout Routine and Diet Plan

Nochtli Mayra Peralta Alvarez is everything that she can be. She’s a model, a certified personal trainer and well, the most out of the blue– a police officer! She is half Dutch and half Mexican and has beyond fitness and health, she has a passion for traveling around the world.

She is way more than just a pretty face for sure. Growing up, she always dreamed of becoming a police officer and when she was just 17 years old, she enrolled herself in the Dutch national police force, where she responded to the help calls and emergency services that shaped her into a strong woman she is now and fulfilling her childhood dreams. She says that it has been one of the best moments of her life and she will never forget it. n her words, she explained, “I was an officer on the street. I’ve been through the most bizarre things, but it was my dream job. It was a grateful job and I will never forget my time there. It has shaped me into the person I am today.” 

However, she retired from the police force to enroll for modeling. Since her body type did not fit the standards of modeling and she thought to give her luck a go in a career to become an online creator. However, she remembers how it was difficult for her to find a serious job as she didn’t have the ‘right’ body type. In Nochtli’s own words; “It was always very difficult for me to get good jobs because I always was ‘too big and chubby’. I know it sounds ridiculous.”Not wanting to change her body type to fit the beauty standards of the fashion industry, Nochtli eventually gave up on her dream of becoming a fashion model.

Well, she made her path towards it and now she is involving her audience in her healthy lifestyle, fitness journey, and even her personal life with her ‘what I do in a day’ blog posts.

TURNING TO FITNESS

Nochtli says how, in a way, giving up on her fashion modeling dream was a ‘blessing in disguise’, as it also allowed her to take a leap towards another modeling industry – fitness.

As Nochtli says, she had always loved fitness and was quite fit too, and after meeting a fitness company that offered her a modeling opportunity, she gladly accepted the offer. Soon, she was bombarded with a lot of assignments in the fitness industry and after months of working on her own knowledge and training hard and doing all her editing work by herself, she earned a Fitvak A, personal trainer certification in the Netherlands.

From there on, Nochtli began creating meal plans and exercise programs; using social media to advertise her services.

Not only has Nochtli enhanced her health and the way she looks ever since she started her fitness lifestyle she has also helped a large number of people achieve the body of their dreams and a great lifestyle.

With her awesome physique and motivational posts on her social media, Nochtli doesn’t seem like she’ll be slowing down anytime soon.

She started exercising at a very young age. In fact, it was when she in kindergarten from where she developed a passion for dancing. During high school, she joined a gym to keep fit. Moreover, she belongs to a family that always encourages healthy eating. She says, “I started exercising at a very young age. It all started with dancing around in a pink tutu at kindergarten. Later on, I joined a hip-hop crew which I quit from when I joined the police force. After that, I started going to the gym to replace dancing and stay active. My mom was always very passionate about eating healthy and stuff like that. She taught me the basics from a very young age. But I have to admit, I really didn’t know what I was doing when I just started working out haha.”

However, she did not start eating healthy just right away! But when she saw she was working hard and was not making any progress, she wanted to change for the better. In her words, “In the beginning, I didn’t adjust my food according to my workouts. I was eating candy whenever I felt like it. I did this until I really wanted my body to change and I felt like I wasn’t making any progress. That was about 3 years ago. After that, I started to study books, articles, and other athletes. And, as I mentioned before, I started my course for PT. Now I know exactly what to do to achieve a certain fitness goal and I can apply this knowledge to myself and others.”

Although she is famous with millions of people following her fitness regime, she is very down to earth or rather passionate because she is not satisfied with her progress and says she wants to inspire more and more people. In her words, she quotes, ”

“I still have to get used to my fame. Luckily I can say that I stayed very “down to earth”. I always tell my friends or family: if I start getting an attitude then you can punch me in the face. So far I have no bruises so I’m doing ok hahaha! My family is still a bit skeptical about my career, because they are not familiar with the world of social media and fitness. But it’s very nice to know that they support me and that they are interested in everything I do.”

Talking about the downside of her fame, she says that she came across a lot of fake stuff over the internet claiming a “quick-fix”, but the truth is that there is nothing as such. “In general it is amazing but naturally, it has a downside as well and I can be very honest about that. I really dislike how fake the social media world can be. Especially regarding marketing, the supplement industry, and such. A lot of people fall for the Fit Tea’s, 30-day transformation programs, fat burning pills and they think they will magically become fit and have abs popping out. Companies forget to mention it can take months if not years to get a physique like that.”

Therefore, she keeps her social media profile as real as possible. She says there is no shortcut to hard work.

“That’s why I try to keep my Instagram as real as possible. I tell my followers that it takes a lot of hard work and effort, that they have to spend hours and hours in the gym and really watch their diet. Even regarding supplements I only recommend what I use myself. On Snapchat you will see me post video’s where I’m really sweaty doing my cardio or posting photo’s when I have a bad day or even pictures when I’m eating junk food on my cheat days. I think it’s really important to give my followers the right image of my life. I have a big account with a lot of followers so I think it’s important, to be honest towards them.

She says that the world is focused on the way we look and people get impacted in the wrong way. She always tells people, especially the young ones to be the best version of themselves. In her words,

“This world on itself is focussed on how we look. This can be very annoying because young people can be easily influenced by what they see on social media and they want to change things about themselves because of that. I get messages from young girls saying they don’t like the way they look and they want to look like me. In a way this is a compliment, but to be honest I really don’t like this at all. I always tell them that being yourself is what makes you beautiful. Everyone is unique and everyone has their own beauty and personality. This is something I want to let people know on my Instagram. Just love yourself!”

TRAINING

PROGRESSING OVER THE TIME

Now Nochtli trains in the gym five to six days per week. But she recalls how when she first started, it was hard for her to stick to her routine and focus on her workouts. She was kind of an over0thinker and would constantly worry about everyday responsibilities and problems while she trained in the gym. Therefore, this resulted in bad and unfocused workouts and she was snot seeing any results at all.

However, Nochtli was able to take this problem in her control, and she developed a strong discipline and stayed committed to her workouts.

Now, because of her hard work, she lifts intensely and makes every rep of her workout count. She describes her training experience for us. She says,

“It took me at least 4 years to find a way, my way, to build good muscles on my body. Highs and lows, ups and downs, a lot of downs. It happens to everyone! So don’t be discouraged when it doesn’t work out the way you want right away, trust the process. Patience is key and it doesn’t happen overnight! So just do the work and the results will handle themselves.”

She does a lot of strength training a bit of cardio to stay fit. Her routine includes a combination of isolation and compound movements that help her gain strength and remain fit. She does not follow a set workout schedule and tries to train each muscle at least once a week.

She is the proudest of her upper body because she di don’t have any upper body strength when she started out but she gradually built up to it. She says, “The standard answer might often be ‘my butt’, but I think I’ll choose my upper body. The ultimate test for myself always was that I should be able to do pullups and chin-ups without difficulty. Especially for women, this is very hard. So I had to train a lot for it, but I managed to do it. and sometimes I even let the guys behind me with this haha! “

Six days out of the seven in a week, Nochtli will only eat the healthiest and cleanest of foods. She keeps her house free of unhealthy or processed foods and brings in only organic and natural vegetables, fruits, grains, and lean meats. This way, Nochtli makes sure that she is leaning towards constant progress with her goals in fitness.

On Saturdays, however, Nochtli lets loose a bit and allows herself to treat on a meal or two where she’ll eat whatever she desires, which is usually a chocolate spread, or her favorite cookie. “Doing it this way, I can manage to keep eating clean the whole week and work up to Saturday,” she says.

She has always followed fitness models on social media and magazine covers and she wanted to look exactly like them. She was also really concerned about her health and though if feeling sluggish is the normal thing. She explains, “I always followed many fitness models and found my own motivation from their social media channels. I always wondered how they created such beautiful bodies. At a certain point, I always felt tired, not in my energy and not in shape. I was so done with it, that I decided to throw my life around and started to create the body I wanted. To be honest, in the first years I did not know what to do and how to do it exactly. But together with my boyfriend I grew in knowledge and started to put it in work. I also obtained my Fitvak A (Personal Trainer education) and taught myself how I could create good meal plans and exercise programs. I tested everything on myself, just until I had found the right formula. I felt better and it started to become an addiction! My health is now better than ever and I’m much more comfortable in my own skin!”

She feels grateful for her fans who support her constantly through every thick and thin. She is proud of her 9 million fans and in return, she likes to keep her most real foot forward for them. In her words, “Well my Instagram is growing so fast nowadays, something which I’m very grateful for. I appreciate my followers a lot and love that they support me so much. Sometimes it’s unreal!  It’s really great to see how many people, which you do not know, support you in your fitness journey. And yes, because of this I am a full-time Fitgirl! “

These are her thoughts on creating a blog for her fans. She says, “I didn’t really think about that yet! But it’s a good idea though.”

Her ultimate way of staying healthy is maintaining a balance. If she has a cheat meal, she makes sure to train hard enough in the gym the next day. She is also very consistent with her workouts and tris not to skip a single day. This is her ultimate to staying fit. She says,

“I train 5 to 6 days a week and make sure I always prep my meals for the day. This ensures that I know exactly what I eat. I also have a lot of discipline built up in the past years, so I can really drill myself to train hard and eat well. I have no unhealthy food in the house, because when it’s there it’s gone really fast .. Every week I have one day on which I have a nice, so called, “ cheatmeal ”. For me this is always on Saturday. In this way I can manage to keep eating clean the whole week and work up to saturday. My favorite cheats are Dora cookies (yes really) and Nutella. In addition, it is always nice when you have a partner who does the same and is in to this fitness lifestyle too. This allows you to continuesly support each other and understand what the other one is doing.”

Naturally, with a physique as toned as hers, she gets a lot of compliments. She reveals her weirdest one, saying, “Pfoe, that’ a good question. The strangest reaction I’ve ever had was, “You have such beautiful feet! Can you PLEASE send a photo of your feet, I love them. “ Foot fetish?”

She is also a body engineers member. And she is often teased about having a fit man for her. She comments, “I happen to have a muscled man yes, haha, but I do not think that’s a must. When we were at the beginning of our relationship, both of us were not muscular or in shape.   I fell in love with his sweet character and way of thinking. You can have a killer body, but if your personality is shitty, it’s nothing to hold on for me. Personality overlooks. “

Nochtli has managed to rely on herself when it comes to seeking inspiration. There are people who have influenced her throughout her journey, but at the end of the day, it is her own hard work and commitment to her aims and goals that have helped her launch a successful career in fitness.

However, one of the people Nochtli enlists as her influence in fitness is her partner, who remains there as a pillar of support for her. Just like Nochtli, her partner is a fitness enthusiast who helps her overcome obstacles on her journey.

If there is one thing we can take from this fitness guru is to believe in our own selves and have strong self-confidence. All the decisions that you take would be worth it and things will fall into the right place eventually.

“The future is something we cannot predict, but can be bend to our liking when done properly. This means it’s good moving out of your comfort zone to grow & create a future you’re content with!

And yes that being said… I am freaking afraid to be awkward and uncomfortable trying new things I don’t know yet. But look where it has brought me so far.”
